REGINALD "JACK" MILLER With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of R. Jack Miller on Monday, October 18, 2004 in his home in Portage la Prairie at the age of 77 years. Jack was predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Minnie Miller; brothers, Colin and Edwin; and sisters, Shirley Ferrier and Mae Winkler. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Helen of Portage la Prairie; son Edwin (Kim) Miller of Swan River with grandchildren, Robyn and Jamie and great-granddaughter Emily; daughter Brenda Foster of Portage la Prairie with grandchildren, Travis Foster (Deanne Verwey) and Sheena (Adam) Bell; son Jackie Miller (Becky Brass) of Winnipeg with grandchildren, Chris, Robert and Amy; along with numerous nieces and nephews and their families; and special friends, Melvin Foster and Dave Giesbrecht and special foster child Clayton Acoby. Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 22 at 1:30 p.m. at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, 56 Royal Rd. S., Portage la Prairie with Pastor Ray Willms officiating. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Jacks memory to Central Plains Cancer Care Services, 318 Saskatchewan Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0K8.
